Borrowed from Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, still the best-documented version of this habit. The rule is three pages, longhand, no judgement, no rereading. Drift is the point.
The cycle here is important. Morning pages are high-value for sixty to ninety days and then plateau for most people. End and revisit later, rather than running them indefinitely.
